Weeping Angel”- a 31-page user guide for CIA device code released by WikiLeaks. It is very efficient that it can turn Samsung TVs into surveillance tool with a built-in microphone that can record audios.

This said release was one of the classified documents stolen from the U.S. government agencies. Thousands of documents were taken by Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden.

Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder who was currently living at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, dared the U.S officials to come after Him. The Obama Justice Department did not give in to the dare but it is the new Attorney General, Jeff Sessions who has reopened the case. He said that, “We’ve seen too many breaches and hopefully we’ll be able to strike back against those who violate our systems.”

After several investigations, the CBS News learned that FBI and the CIA believe that the crime was an inside job. The stolen materials are placed in a highly secured section of the intelligence agency and it takes two persons to access the information. Unfortunately, the security measures were not enough to stop the leaks.

With that, Michael Morrell, a former acting director of the CIA said that, “We can’t keep all the information in one place. We need to spread it out. We have to have better rules about need-to-know, and if you don’t have a need to know, you don’t get access to the information.”

Also, the CBS News Assange could be prosecuted under a number of statutes according to the former top Justice Department official. But the WikiLeaks argues with it that CBS News is like a media organization and its activities are protected by the First Amendment.
