At 03:30 (GMT+2), December data on the consumer price index will be released in China. It is the main indicator of inflation in the country and reflects the change in retail prices for a certain "basket" of goods and services (food, transport, utilities, healthcare, and so on). It significantly influences the decisions of the national financial regulator on monetary policy. The indicator is expected to grow from 1.6% to 1.8% YoY and be adjusted from –0.2% to –0.1% MoM.
