At 12:00 (GMT+2), the December data on the consumer price index in the EU countries will be released. It is the main indicator of inflation in the region and determines the change in retail prices for a certain "basket" of goods and services: food, transport, utilities, and healthcare, having a significant impact on the authorities' decisions on monetary policy. The consumer price index is expected to correct from –0.1% to –0.3% MoM and remain at 9.2% YoY, while the core value will stay at 0.6% MoM and 5.2% YoY.
